Science-Backed
Anti-Obesity Drug AOD-9604 may promote safe and effective weight loss by targeting areas of high-fat concentrations. AOD-9604 was used as an anti-obesity drug as it is a fragment of the growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP). By stimulating the pituitary gland, it helps the body regulate fat metabolism and reduce body fat.
AOD-9604 works by increasing metabolism while speeding up the fat-burning process. There have been many studies that also show that this peptide is highly effective for building muscle. There are two ways that the AOD-9604 peptide works. It can stimulate the release of excess fat from the fatty tissue while inhibiting more fat from building in the main area, being the mid-abdominal area.

Frequently Asked Questions
AOD-9604
-
AOD-9604 is a modified form of amino acids 176-191 and was used as an anti-obesity drug. Once injected, this hormone derivative can stimulate the pituitary gland, which, in turn, speeds up metabolism and burns body fat.
This FDA-approved peptide therapy has the unique ability to target areas of the body with abnormally high levels of fat.

This is a common question, since most peptides once reconstituted are not cloudy. However, not all peptides are created equal!
AOD-9604 is a larger peptide, 16 amino acids, containing several hydrophobic residues. Hydrophobic molecules are literally “water- fearing”. HGH fragment is by far the most hydrophobic of any peptides.
The process in some labs includes using a copious amount of acetonitrile. To put this into perspective, when our peptides are being synthesized and tested for purity, a very small amount of acetonitrile is used to remove the impurities from a column that is being tested during the HPLC (.1% acetonitrile to be exact).
Now acetonitrile is a poisonous substance and needs to be removed from the final product (it metabolizes into cyanide). If this substance is not removed, the effects can be dangerous.
So, although this is very counter-intuitive, the fact that your AOD-9604 is cloudy tells you that it is true HGH Fragment, and that it does not contain copious amounts of acetonitrile.

AOD-9604 is an injectable peptide administered subcutaneously through the fat. The most fatty parts of the body are the abdomen, side or back of upper arms, and front of thighs.
AOD-9604 is for research purposes only, unless prescribed by a licensed physician. Schedule a telehealth appointment or talk to a specialist to determine the best plan for your health.
-
AOD-9604 is commonly injected subcutaneously, making its use at risk for local redness, irritation, itching and swelling of the injection site.
Other noted side effects from clinical studies included:
- Headache
- Chest tightness
- Palpitations
- Feelings of euphoria
While these side effects were rare, it is important to consult with a medical professional prior to starting AOD-9604.
Remember, everyone reacts differently to substances like AOD-9604 due to individual physiological differences such as metabolism rate and overall health status. Talk to your healthcare provider about any side effect that bothers you or doesn’t go away. Tell your doctor if you have any side effects.
-
Anti-Obesity Peptide AOD-9604 is a peptide naturally produced in our body as a part of the human growth hormone (HGH). AOD-9604 was assigned GRAS status by the FDA, which stands for Generally Recognized As Safe when used as intended.
